For high-performance task and soft seating upholstery
Designers Hayley Barrett and Jodie Padgett were inspired by the natural beauty of architectural structures found in nature and copied by man for the latest launch Honeycomb.
In particular, they studied the intricate hexagonal shapes of honeycomb found within bee hives. These hexagonal shapes have long been imitated for their strength and uniformity – natural engineering at its best.
Honeycomb is a colour woven polyester fabric made from 100% post-industrial recycled polyester. The fabric is available in 16 colour mixes that are made using non-metallic dyestuffs.
The bolder shades of the pattern outline are softened with a stria of coloured threads. The multi-coloured appearance has the benefit of adding design interest whilst also disguising any surface stains that may occur.
Honeycomb is ideal for high-performance task and soft seating upholstery, meeting severe contract abrasion and cigarette and match flammability. It can also be combined with stain repellent, antibacterial, waterproof and higher-level flame retardant coatings for applications such as healthcare and other heavy footfall areas.
Synergy is a beautiful fabric that blends colours with conscience and performance with style and has the largest colour offering of 75 intelligent shades. The Synergy palette has an enchanting kaleidoscope of colours suitable for a wide range of interior environments. Ranging from bold brights, neutral pales, deep darks and mysterious mélanges, the development of each colourway was a thoughtful and considered process.
As a natural evolution of the bestselling wool fabric, Blazer, Synergy is softer and stronger, lighter and brighter. Made from premium New Zealand wool and combined with just 5% polyamide, Synergy has a finer finish whilst achieving an impressive abrasion performance of 100,000 Martindale cycles.
As water is a core utility for wool textile manufacturing, Camira is supporting water aid charity, Just a Drop, to help deliver accessible, clean and safe water where it is needed most. For every metre of Synergy sold, Camira will make a donation to a project in Kenya. The first project is to build a water tank at Ikalaasa Primary School to provide clean water to 460 pupils. The donation will be matched by Wools of New Zealand, with additional contributions from Camira’s wider supply chain including yarn spinners, Safil and textile finishers, WT Johnson & Sons.
Zig Zag is a playful print by designers Parris Wakefield Additions who specialise in bold, colourful, graphic patterns. The pattern is made up of colourful parallel lines of varying angles and width, creating a fun and visually appealing upholstery fabric. Zig Zag is printed onto our Synergy fabric and has been designed to coordinate with Synergy and Blazer.
