Interior Options Launches The RePurpose Partnership to Reuse Furniture and Support the local Charities
Sustainable Office Furniture
In an exciting new initiative, Interior Options, a frontrunner in sustainable office furniture, has unveiled The RePurpose Partnership, a transformative furniture reuse scheme designed not only to reduce waste but also to give back to the community. This innovative program empowers businesses to save money and support vital environmental charities, all while promoting sustainability.
The RePurpose Partnership focuses on repurposing high-quality timber and metal furniture from offices, meeting rooms, and storage areas when companies relocate or dispose of surplus items.
Ivan Young, Fit Out Director, commented, “By giving furniture a second life, the scheme prevents materials from entering landfill and reduces the demand for newly manufactured timber products.”
A recent example saw Symphony Environmental donate boardroom furniture and storage units to Austin’s Funeral Directors. In return, Austin generously donated £500 to the Woodland Trust, contributing to vital woodland conservation projects across the UK.
Ivan added, “The Woodland Trust works to protect native woodlands, restore ancient forests, and increase tree planting, making it a perfect partner for Interior Options’ sustainability initiative. The scheme is just in its infancy, but we’re excited about the potential impact we can create, especially with larger fit-out and refurbishment projects.”
